
Organic Sprouted Pumpkin Seeds
Our pumpkin seeds are uniquely delicious and packed with bio-available nutrients. Here's why:
Organic – We source organic pumpkin seeds that have never been treated with toxic pesticides or herbicides.
Raw – Raw pumpkin seeds are rich in enzymes and vitamins that are great for our bodies. But when they are baked, roasted or steamed, most of those beneficial compounds are destroyed. That's why we never heat our pumpkin seeds above 118°F.
Sprouted – We sprout (or "activate") our pumpkin seeds in small batches. Sprouting is the time-honored practice of soaking nuts and seeds in water to reduce their naturally occurring phytic acids, tannins and enzyme inhibitors. This results in seeds that are much easier to digest, with enzymes and vitamins that our bodies can easily absorb.
Dehydrated – After soaking and sprouting, we gently dehydrate our pumpkin seeds at 118°F. This preserves their nutrients, enhances their natural sweetness and gives them a delightfully crisp texture!
